In that season Hernandez scored 6 goals and recorded 7 assists across all competitions in 48 appearances, delivering his usual combination of explosive attacking runs and defensive solidity from left-back. He also made history earlier in the season, having in January 2025 scored his 30th Serie A goal for Milan, surpassing the legendary Paolo Maldini's record to become the club's highest-scoring defender in the Italian top flight. It was a fitting final act for one of the best players to represent the club in recent years.
