AC Milan share the San Siro, officially the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, with city rivals Inter. The stadium holds around 80,000 fans and is one of the largest in Europe. Founded in 1899 by Englishman Herbert Kilpin, Milan have won the Champions League seven times, a record only Real Madrid can better, and their red and black shirts are among the most recognizable in world football. They have had some of the biggest names playing for them and had their prime in the late 1990's and early 2000's.
The 2014/15 season brought a difficult chapter for the club. Filippo Inzaghi took charge as head coach, replacing Clarence Seedorf, and it was Milan's first season without any European football since 1998/99, following an eighth place finish the year before. The team eventually finished 10th in Serie A, with French forward Jeremy Menez the standout performer, scoring 16 goals across all competitions, including a memorable back-heeled finish in a wild 5-4 win over Parma. After decades of dominating football, Serie A seemed to underperform compared to the English and Spanish clubs, although Juventus steeped up in European competitions.
This AC Milan 2014/15 home shirt was produced by adidas during their eight-year kit deal with the club, keeping Milan's traditional vertical red and black stripes. The Fly Emirates sponsor sits across the chest, a partnership that ran with the club for well over a decade, and the design remains a favorite among collectors from this transitional era in the club's history. This shirt featured the red cross as weapon of the city of Milan, instead of the AC Milan badge, although it is still visible in white, on the bottom right of the crest. This shirt comes in size small (S) and excellent condition, as the Fly Emirates front sponsor has some cracks in it. The style code for this Adidas and AC Milan shirt is D87224.
