Adidas Human Race Shirt

The Adidas Human Race Jersey was created in collaboration with Pharrell Williams as part of the Humanrace football collection released in 2020. The shirt uses Real Magenta and True Blue as its official colour combination, with an all-over geometric pattern built from blue, magenta, red and white shapes. The design was hand-drawn to reinterpret patterns found on memorable football shirts from previous decades. It has a V-neck, short sleeves and a regular fit, with three white Adidas stripes running along the sleeves. The chest carries the Adidas logo alongside the Humanrace branding, while the back continues the geometric graphic. The shirt is made from 100% recycled polyester doubleknit and was produced as part of Adidas Primegreen, a range using high-performance recycled materials without virgin polyester. The Human Race football collection was developed by Pharrell Williams and Adidas as a reinterpretation of football culture rather than as a conventional club kit. GK5179 is connected to Manchester United within the wider Humanrace football project, with the design drawing inspiration from Manchester’s football and music culture. The blue-and-white elements reference Manchester United shirts from the early 1990s, while the Humanrace approach replaced a traditional club-kit presentation with hand-drawn graphics and branding. The collection also included Humanrace versions inspired by other major clubs, including Bayern Munich, Juventus and Real Madrid. Unlike a standard Manchester United match shirt, this model was produced as a lifestyle and football jersey within the collaboration.
