Ajax Amsterdam is one of the biggest football clubs in the world. Founded in 1900, they are based in the Dutch capital Amsterdam and play their home games at the Johan Cruyff Arena, which holds around 55,000 supporters. Ajax are four-time Champions League winners, and their influence on the global game is enormous, particularly through the development of Total Football in the 1970s. The club is also famous for their La Masia-style youth academy, De Toekomst, which has produced some of the finest footballers in history. Their iconic red and white home kit, combined with one of the most passionate fanbases in European football, makes Ajax one of the most recognizable clubs on the continent.
The 2018/19 season was nothing short of extraordinary for Ajax. Under coach Erik ten Hag, the young Dutch side won the Eredivisie and the KNVB Beker, completing the domestic double for the first time since the 2001/02 season. But it was their Champions League run that captivated the entire world. Ajax knocked out Real Madrid in the round of 16, then eliminated Juventus in the quarter-finals with a stunning performance in Turin, before reaching the semi-finals for the first time since 1997. They came extremely close to the final, leading Tottenham Hotspur on away goals until Lucas Moura completed a hat-trick in the final minutes at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The season's biggest individual contributor was Dušan Tadić, who scored 38 goals in all competitions including 9 in the Champions League, and Frenkie de Jong was the standout creative force.

The jacket features Adidas's standard EQT-style collar with a full-length zip, the Ajax crest on the chest and three Adidas stripes down the sleeves. The entire collection was designed to work just as well off the pitch as on it. It is a wearable piece of one of the most memorable European seasons a Dutch club has ever had.
