Argentina 2004 Away Shirt Tevez

Argentina’s 2004 away shirt was worn during an important period for Carlos Tévez, who made his senior international debut that year. Made by Adidas with style code 645785, the dark blue away design was used during the 2004 Copa América and featured the Argentina crest alongside the familiar Adidas detailing. The Tévez #11 name set links the shirt to the early stage of his international career, when he was quickly becoming an established member of the national team.

Tévez played a major role for Argentina in 2004. At the Copa América in Peru, he scored twice during the tournament, including the opening goal in Argentina’s 1–0 win over Peru in the quarter-finals. Argentina reached the final after beating Colombia 3–0 in the semi-final, but Brazil ultimately won the trophy on penalties following a 2–2 draw. Later that summer, Tévez was the leading scorer at the Athens Olympic Games, scoring eight goals as Argentina won the gold medal. The Olympic campaign ended with a 1–0 victory over Paraguay in the final, completing Argentina’s first Olympic football title. He also finished 2004 with 10 senior international appearances and two goals. The combination of the Copa América final and Olympic gold makes this shirt particularly representative of the breakthrough year in Tévez’s Argentina career.

Kept in excellent condition, this size Small (S) shirt is a notable piece from Argentina’s 2004 era. The Tévez name set gives it a direct connection to a season in which he collected an Olympic gold medal and finished as the tournament’s top scorer with eight goals.
