With Mikel Arteta as their manager, Arsenal were hoping to get back to Premier League dominance. The squad was weakened and full of old and less-experienced players. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was one of the exceptions. He was one of Europe's leading goal scorers, as he scored 15 goals in the 2020/21 season and 29 goals in the season prior. The following year, he would make his dream transfer to Barcelona. This Arsenal 2020/21 home shirt was worn during the club's 8th place finish in the Premier League; a season not to be proud of for the Gunners.
