Barcelona 2012/13 Away Shirt Xavi

FC Barcelona wore the 2012/13 away shirt during one of the strongest periods in the club's history. Under Tito Vilanova, who had taken over from Pep Guardiola in the summer of 2012, Barcelona continued to dominate Spanish football with their possession based style built around the academy graduates from La Masia. The midfield trio of Xavi, Andres Iniesta and Sergio Busquets remained the strongest part of the team, while Lionel Messi was producing the most prolific goalscoring seasons of his career. Barcelona played their home matches at Camp Nou, the largest football stadium in Europe with a capacity of almost 100.000, and finished the season by winning their 22nd LaLiga title. 

The 2012/13 season saw Barcelona collect 100 points in LaLiga, becoming only the first Spanish club alongside Real Madrid to reach that total. They won 32 of their 38 league matches, scored 115 goals and finished 15 points ahead of second placed Real Madrid. Barcelona also reached the semi finals of the UEFA Champions League, where they were beaten 7-0 on aggregate by Bayern Munich, while their Copa del Rey campaign ended in the semi finals against Real. Xavi made 45 appearances in all competitions during the season, scoring 7 goals and providing 11 assists. It was his fifteenth consecutive season as a player in Barcelona's first team, and by the end of the season he had already won seven LaLiga titles, three Champions League trophies and two European Championships with Spain.

The Barcelona 2012/13 away shirt was made by Nike and features a bright orange base, slowly fading into a yellow colour. The sleeve cuffs and crew neck collar are finished in orange. This shirt is printed with Xavi and number 6 printing, the number he wore throughout the most successful period in Barcelona's history and during a season in which the club equalled the La Liga record of 100 points.
