The 2021/22 Barcelona squad was labeled as 'the worst Barca ever' by multiple media sources. Xavi came in and knew major changes had to be made. This 2021/22 home shirt was the first Barcelona shirt since 2002/03 that wasn't worn by Lionel Messi. The shirt's pattern is a remake from the club's badge. With the Catalan stripes now being featured in Blaugrana colors.
