Club captain Sergio Busquets played his final season before leaving after more than 700 appearances, while academy graduates Gavi, Alejandro Balde and Ronald Araújo became established starters alongside experienced players such as Frenkie de Jong and Marc-André ter Stegen. Xavi, who had spent almost his entire playing career at Barcelona, became only the third person in club history to win LaLiga as both captain and head coach. The league title was Barcelona's first since 2019 and their 27th Spanish championship overall, confirming the club's return to the top after several difficult seasons.
