The Belgium home shirt for UEFA Euro 2020 introduced one of adidas' most distinctive international designs. Instead of using a traditional solid red front, the shirt features hand painted black brushstrokes running diagonally across the chest, together forming the letter "B" for Belgium. Yellow accents on the V neck collar, sleeve cuffs and adidas logo complete the colours of the Belgian flag, while a second hidden "B" graphic appears below the back of the collar. It was also the first home shirt to feature the Royal Belgian Football Association's redesigned crest, which was introduced shortly before the shirt's release. The entire design formed part of adidas' Euro 2020 collection, where each federation shirt was inspired by hand drawn artwork rather than digital graphics. This Belgium 2020 home shirt comes in size kids L and excellent condition. There is a small pull on the front and 2 tiny bobbles on the back. The style code label is damaged (see third photo). The style code for this Belgium football shirt is EJ8551.
Belgium entered the 2020 Euros as the world's number one ranked national team and one of the tournament favourites under Roberto Martinez. The Red Devils won all three group matches against Russia, Denmark and Finland before eliminating defending European champions Portugal 1-0 in the Round of 16 through a long range goal from Thorgan Hazard. Their tournament ended in the quarter finals with a 2-1 defeat against eventual champions Italy. Romelu Lukaku finished as top scorer with 4 goals, while Kevin De Bruyne contributed 4 assists despite missing part of the tournament through injury. The squad also included experienced defenders Jan Vertonghen and Toby Alderweireld, both of whom played every knockout match as Belgium reached the last eight of a European Championship for the second consecutive edition. Belgium was still ranked as first in the FIFA ranking both worldwide and in Europe.
Belgium's golden generation reached its peak between 2018 and 2021. After finishing third at the 2018 FIFA World Cup, the national team remained unbeaten throughout the UEFA Euro 2020 qualifying campaign, winning all 10 matches and scoring 40 goals while conceding only 3. During that period, Belgium consistently occupied first place in the FIFA World Rankings, becoming the first nation other than Brazil, Spain, Germany or Argentina to hold the top spot for such an extended period. Players including Eden Hazard, Kevin De Bruyne, Romelu Lukaku, Dries Mertens and Thibaut Courtois formed the backbone of a squad widely regarded as the strongest in Belgian football history.
