The France national team, known as Les Bleus, is run by the FFF and plays its home matches at the Stade de France in Saint-Denis, Paris. The side has won the World Cup twice, in 1998 and 2018, and the European Championship twice, in 1984 and 2000, and is considered one of the most consistently competitive teams in international football, regularly producing generations of world-class talent from its youth system.
This shirt dates from the 2014/15 season, the period between the 2014 World Cup, where France reached the quarter-finals before losing to eventual champions Germany, and the build-up to Euro 2016, which France would host. Coach Didier Deschamps had his contract extended through to the home tournament and used this period to integrate younger players into the squad, including Paul Pogba, who was named Best Young Player at the 2014 World Cup, and a teenage Anthony Martial. Antoine Griezmann, who had broken into the squad the previous year, became an increasingly central figure during this cycle, eventually finishing as top scorer and Player of the Tournament when France reached the Euro 2016 final on home soil.
This France 2015 away shirt followed the Nike's international template of the period, finished in white with the French cockerel crest on the chest and blue trim. It was worn during this transitional cycle of friendlies and qualifiers as Deschamps shaped the squad that would go on to reach a major final the following year. This is a player version shirt, meaning the shirt has different textures and is made out of lightweight, stretchy and breathable material to enhance player performance. The shirt comes in size small (S) and excellent condition. There is only a tiny mark on the front, just below the Nike logo. Nike made the shirt and used 640849-105 as style code.
