Germany 2020/21 Away Shirt

The Germany 2020/21 away shirt is an unusually restrained design from Adidas, with an almost entirely black appearance. The shirt uses a Black and Carbon colour scheme, with the Germany crest, Adidas logo and the three shoulder stripes all kept in tonal black. The V-neck is also black, while the sleeve cuffs introduce small black, red and gold details based on the colours of the German flag. A woven Germany flag label is placed inside the back of the collar. The shirt was made from polyester and used Adidas AEROREADY technology. Product code: EH6117.

Although officially part of the 2020/21 collection, the shirt was used for the period around UEFA Euro 2020, with the tournament postponed from 2020 to summer 2021 because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Germany entered the tournament under Joachim Löw and finished second in Group F after beating Portugal 4–2 and drawing 2–2 with Hungary, having lost 1–0 to France. In the round of 16 at Wembley, Germany lost 2–0 to England and were eliminated. The match against England was Löw’s final tournament game as Germany manager after 15 years in charge.
