After being knocked out of the Champions League by Ajax in the season prior, Juventus had to rebuild and strengthen their squad. Juve still had one of the most valuable squads in the world of football and were seen as a top tier team in Serie A. They would go on to win Serie A but got knocked out of the Champions League by Lyon. They also lost the final of the Supercoppa D'Italia to Lazio, 3-1. Juventus were unable to live to the expectations. 

In Serie A, Juventus got to a total of 83 point, only 1 more than 2nd place Inter. Cristiano Ronaldo was still a key player, as he scored 37 goals and gave 9 assists in 46 games in all competitions. Other important players in the squad were Paulo Dybala and Gonzalo Higuain. Despite the Serie A win, the club had hoped for more silverware. 

The Juventus 2019/20 third shirt is really unique and stunned football shirt collectors when it got released. There is an inconsistent pattern with shiny marks, giving the shirt a glowing look, which was not seen before in the world of football shirts. The Jeep front sponsor has a chrome color, which is barely visible and not really on camera. This Juve shirt was one of Adidas' most popular and best selling third shirts of the season.
