Los Angeles FC entered Major League Soccer in 2018 as an expansion team and wasted no time building one of the most competitive clubs in the league. Playing their home games at BMO Stadium in the Exposition Park neighbourhood of Los Angeles, a 22,000-seat ground, the club won the MLS Cup in their fifth season and the Supporters' Shield twice. In just seven seasons they attracted players like Gareth Bale, Giorgio Chiellini, Hugo Lloris, and Olivier Giroud, a level of recruitment that made them one of the most talked-about clubs in America. Their primary colors are black and gold, often appearing on their football shirts.
The 2024 MLS season was another strong year for LAFC. The club finished as the top seed in the Western Conference with over 60 points and won their first-ever Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, beating Sporting Kansas City 3–1 in extra time in the final at BMO Stadium. They also reached the League Cup final, where they lost 3–1 to Columbus Crew. In the MLS Cup Playoffs, they were eliminated by Inter Miami in the second round. Denis Bouanga was their best player all season long, registering 20 goals and 11 assists in 32 regular-season appearances, leading the league in shots, shots on goal, and expected goals. He was named to the MLS Best XI for the second consecutive year.
This Los Angeles FC 2024/25 third shirt is part of the Adidas MLS Archive Collection, a series of throwback designs released for select clubs. The shirt imagines what an LAFC shirt might have looked like had the club existed in Los Angeles in the 1970s, when football first started gaining a real foothold in Southern California. It features an off-white base layered with earthy brown and mustard accents. Instead of a sponsor logo, the words "Los Angeles" are printed across the chest in a 1970s-style block font. This Adidas shirt comes in size medium (M) and excellent condition, as there are some pen marks on the bottom of the shirt, as is visible on the photos.
