Netherlands 2015/16 Away Shirt (S-Excellent)

The Netherlands are of the biggest nations in the world of football, let alone Europe. In the early 1970's, Johan Cruyff changed the way football had to be played; total football. He introduced it with his Ajax side and brought it to Barcelona and the Netherlands national team. This brought them to the final of the 1974 World Cup in West Germany, where they lost against the tournament's host. The Netherlands would later go on to win the 1988 Euros in this country. This Euros would be the only major tournament prize for the Dutch. 

In the 2015/16 season, the Netherlands had one of their worst squads ever, that lacked quality and depth. The 2015/16 away shirt was worn during the 2016 European qualifiers. The Netherlands got placed in a group with Latvia, Kazakhstan, Turkey, Iceland and the Czech Republic. After 10 games, the Netherlands got to a total of 13 points, enough for 4th place in their group. For the first time in modern football, the Netherlands had to miss a major tournament. Key players in this Holland squad were Arjen Robben, Robin van Persie and Wesley Sneijder.
