The burgundy and gold Olympique Lyonnais training shirt from the 2010/11 season was made by adidas, in the club's first season with the German brand after ending its agreement with Umbro. The shirt has a deep burgundy base with gold adidas stripes running over the shoulders and a gold adidas logo on the chest. The OL crest sits on the opposite side, while a decorative graphic in darker red runs up the lower right side of the front. The collar is burgundy with a gold edge, and the sleeve cuffs use the same colour combination. This Olympique Lyonnais training shirt comes in size medium (M) and very good condition. There is a big burned spot on the back of the shirt to the right (see photos). P00293 is the style code for this Lyon football shirt, made by Adidas.

Claude Puel remained in charge for his third season as Lyon coach. The team finished third in Ligue 1 with 64 points from 38 matches, behind Lille and Marseille, securing a place in the Champions League qualifying round for the following season. Lisandro López was Lyon's leading scorer across all competitions with 19 goals, followed by Bafétimbi Gomis with 12. In the Champions League, Lyon finished second in a group containing Schalke 04, Benfica and Hapoel Tel Aviv. Lyon's campaign ended in the Round of 16 against Real Madrid, who won 4-1 on aggregate after a 1-1 draw in France and a 3-0 victory at the Santiago Bernabéu. Karim Benzema scored against his former club in the second leg.

The 2010/11 campaign came three seasons after Lyon's record run of seven consecutive Ligue 1 titles, won from 2001/02 through 2007/08. During that period, players such as Juninho, Sidney Govou, Karim Benzema and Florent Malouda all were with the club. By 2010/11, Lyon had also become a regular Champions League participant, reaching the semi finals for the first time in 2009/10 before losing to Bayern Munich. The squad for 2010/11 included several players who had been important during that period, including Hugo Lloris, Cris, Kim Källström and Lisandro López, while Yoann Gourcuff had joined from Bordeaux for a reported €22 million in August 2010.
