Roma 2020/21 Home Shirt

Roma returned to one of its most recognisable historical designs for the 2020/21 home shirt, bringing back horizontal Giallorossi stripes inspired by the club’s 1980 Coppa Italia-winning era. Nike produced the shirt in the traditional deep red, with the yellow-to-orange gradient across the chest. The Stadium version uses Nike Breathe fabric and Dri-FIT technology, with 100% recycled polyester construction. Its Nike style code is CD4248-614. This size Small (S) is kept in excellent condition.

The 2020/21 campaign was Roma’s first full season under Paulo Fonseca and ended with a seventh-place finish in Serie A, collecting 62 points from 38 matches. The team scored 68 league goals, with Henrikh Mkhitaryan contributing 13 and Edin Džeko adding seven in the competition. Roma’s strongest run came in the Europa League, where they won 10 of their 14 matches and progressed to the semi-finals. They eliminated Braga, Shakhtar Donetsk and Ajax before meeting Manchester United in the last four. After winning 2–1 in the first leg, United advanced with a 3–2 victory in Rome, winning the tie 8–5 on aggregate. The Coppa Italia campaign ended earlier, with Roma losing 3–0 to Spezia in the round of 16.

For collectors of Roma shirts, the 2020/21 edition is particularly notable because Nike deliberately based the design on the club’s “ghiacciolo” kit from 1980. That link to Roma’s earlier history gives the shirt significance beyond its place in the 2020/21 season, while the deep red and gradient chest stripes make it one of Nike’s more recognisable Roma designs.
