The shirt has a small bobble on the front, while the printed information inside the collar has partly faded over time. These are the only notable signs of wear.
The United States topped their World Cup group ahead of England, Slovenia and Algeria after drawing their first two matches and beating Algeria 1–0 with a stoppage-time goal from Landon Donovan. Their tournament ended in the Round of 16 against Ghana, who won 2–1 after extra time. The same shirt was also used during the following 2011 Gold Cup campaign.
Clint Dempsey, Landon Donovan and Tim Howard were among the key players in Bob Bradley's team, with Donovan's late goal against Algeria becoming one of the most memorable moments in US football history.
